What could have been a disastrous half-term holiday with our son getting chicken pox, turned into a fantastic week! We have discovered ‘Devon’ and will certainly want to come back again.

The boys have had a great time – especially getting soaking wet at Westward Ho!

It was lovely to be so close to the moors and the sea and many attractions, and then come back every evening to this wonderful house.

Thank you, John and Jenny, for all your kindness and fantastic hospitality.

The Davies family,
Hemel Hempstead

Exmoor National Park

Stunning landscapes, wilderness and tranquillity, rare in southern England, and a warm rural welcome await you on Exmoor, one of Britain's breathing places; and the glimpse of wild Red Deer or the native Exmoor Pony, are just a couple of the delights that make Exmoor special.

Whether you are looking for an invigorating walk, horse ride or cycle across the high moors and through wooded valleys using our excellent path network, or the gentler comforts of a local cream tea in one of Exmoor’s beautiful villages is more your thing; Exmoor National Park has something for everyone.

Exmoor National Park is the perfect place for ambling and rambling – over 1000kms of footpaths and bridleways and 18000ha of ‘access land’ await your discovery.  Two thirds of the network is designated as bridleway and the area is excellent for exploration of horseback or by bike.

Exmoor is one of the leading destinations for Sustainable Tourism. Working with tourism providers and visitors we strive to ensure tourism activity doesn’t damage the special qualities of Exmoor; the very assets people come here to appreciate. We are proud to have achieved the Europarc ‘Charter for Sustainable Tourism in protected areas’.

The equivalent of over 2 million day visits are made to this special place covering 267 square miles.
